[Autom. eng. transl.] The article analyzes in its various articulations the meaning that the so-called "control interventions" assume within the social service. Once the distinction between "consensual", "covered" and "coercive" control is focused, the critical aspects of the latter are highlighted in the context of social assistance interventions and the social service methodology reasoning can be examined for work from the perspective of empowerment, even starting from a coercive control mandate.
