[Autom. eng. transl.] The Italian-Chinese Dictionary of Wines and Vines is a useful lexicographic/terminological tool to encourage exchanges and communication between Italian and Chinese wine experts, consumers and wine enthusiasts. The Dictionary includes the definitions of DOCG, DOC, IGT and grape varieties produced in Italy. Each item was created in Italian through the consultation of sectoral texts and disciplinary documents; the translation work, thanks to the use of authoritative Chinese sources and an original standardization work, has established the most suitable term to identify a wine or a grape variety in compliance with the best Chinese cultural traditions. The Dictionary, accompanied by an analytical index, is an easy reference tool for both the Chinese and the Italian public.
