Abstract
The chapter presents the transition of young adults towards life as a couple, considering that the markers of the transition are increasingly less univocal and more differentiated. The role of family ties in the development of romantic relationships, the differences between marriage and cohabitation, the construction of the "weness", changes in the marriage rite, the digitalisation of ties, separations, divorces and reconstituted families are considered.
