Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Hildegard of Bingen tackles the theme of discretio in an exquisitely Benedictine key, presenting her as "princess in the king's palace", who knows profoundly the secrets of creation and knowing them she loves them. She assumes a key role in the Delegardian lexicon as it synthesizes measure and discernment, which they represent the guidelines for the interaction between body, soul and physical world.
