Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] What is the impact of artificial intelligence on companies, on their activity and structure? What future lies ahead for their management and organization? Through an interdisciplinary approach, the essay traces the parable of the transformation in the digital sense of the enterprise of the new millennium. The progressive irradiation of algorithmic systems from the reality of financial markets to organizational structures and corporate governance opens up new application scenarios and prefigures new areas of responsibility. The consequences of this evolution are examined with particular attention to the lasting effects that computerization has on data protection, corporate governance and sustainability objectives. To prevent the risk of companies being subjected to algorithmic codes and avoid the scenario of the "end" of the corporate enterprise, the authors investigate the role that law is called to play in enhancing the opportunities offered by artificial intelligence in a fair balance between the technological and the human factor.
