Abstract
The contribution deals with the issue of the author of the treatise on the Sublime, Dionysius Longinus, recovering the philological and historical-cultural reasons that lead us to argue that we should not continue to call him 'Anonymous' or 'Pseudo Longinus', although his name is not mentioned by other sources and we do not have more testimonials and fragments than those cited in his work on Sublime .
