Abstract

The reflection on the relationship between education and human environment requires a careful analysis of the relationship between man and time. Research on sustainability and ecological footprint dwell with greater insistence on the close connection between environmental issues and time dimension. In this paper the educational knowledge is urged to investigate the problematic elements caused by the acceleration of the times and to develop educational programs that allow to retrieve a dialogue with temporal dimension. In particular, the current experiences of displacement, with respect to space and time, arises the need for training to recover not only the sense of the world but also the sense of history. In this horizon, memory recovery can be an educational goal to achieve, in order to build the identity from a deep sense of belonging and promote responsible participation of every person, valuing the inheritance received from the past.
