Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay is included in a book, the result of a survey carried out by the "Arts and Crafts" Research Center of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart and addressed in particular to Lombardy and Canton Ticino. The essay, in particular shows how - in these two areas - the trades of the past have been able to reconstruct over time their role and their image, interpreting the changes in the demands of the public, without betraying that aesthetic culture that represents one of the legacies more precious than the Italian taste tradition. In addition to outlining the contours - often magmatic - of the worlds of art professions, this study also describes the complex of training strategies and institutional dimensions that contribute to the strengthening and development of such a significant sector of activity.
