Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] On the basis of new documentation, the essay illustrates the application of the grammar reform introduced by Minister Thun Hohenstein in the Hapsburg Empire in the Lombardy-Veneto region, focusing on the Bolza-Ambrosoli commission, on the application of the reform in Milan. Mutual resistance and misunderstanding between Vienna and Italian intellectuals were the result of political tensions. In fact, after the unity, even patriots such as Tenca and Amati expressed themselves in favor of the Austrian reform, against the Casati Law.
