Abstract

Angelo Pupi, ordinary professor of modern philosophy at the Catholic University Milan from 1977 to 2003, and Roberto Busa S.J., the pioneer of computational linguistics, undertook in the 1980s to translate Hamann's Letters from the critical edition and digitise the German text to transform it into a searchable lemmatised database. This article tells about this endevour.
