[Autom. eng. transl.] In the last decades of the 20th century, the social organization was restructured on the basis of the planetary techno-economic system. In this context, freedom is equated with the indefinite increase in possibilities and the self-determination of individuals, only starting from their dissolving side according to the idea of absolute freedom. The crisis in which we are moving shows the need for solutions that are not merely technical, but are able to consider and balance the different dimensions of social life. The challenge is to try to rethink freedom based on its internal relational matrix. Desiring to contribute to the ever open debate on freedom and thinking about it in relation to a new model of living together and social development, this article suggests freedom from a vision based on quantitative Growth and consumption is based on bringing a more mature perspective of the organization of social life, in which 'generative' freedom reflects a relational anthropological vision.
