Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The text considers how, through the use of pre-implantation diagnosis on embryos, the probable transmission of pathological genes to some of the in vitro procreated embryos is not avoided, but it is done by dilating the number of embryos "produced" and subsequently acting selectively, for life already started. Consequently, it reflects on the medical perspectives of the use of genetic data acquired in an early age. The contrast of recourse to pre-implantation diagnosis is highlighted - even after it has lapsed in the guidelines of the law n. 40/2004, on the basis of a well-known ruling by the TAR of Lazio, the limitation of the survey on embryos to the observational aspect - with various provisions of the same law n. 40/2004.
