Abstract

The book One Hundred and One Books: Arabic Books That Influenced the World aims to highlight a curated selection of Arabic works that have had a significant global impact. It explores literary, philosophical, and scientific texts that have enriched human knowledge and shaped intellectual history. It introduces readers to key authors in Arabic literature and the diverse literary genres pioneered by Arabs and Muslims, such as oratory, maqāmāt, epistles, poetry, travelogues, and autobiographies. Moreover, the book seeks to revive discussions on classical works, encouraging research, translation, and engagement with these texts, fostering interdisciplinary studies and cross-cultural comparisons. I presented ten out of a hundred and one premodern Arabic books that influenced the world.
