Abstract

The pedagogical path of Media Education is elaborated and developed starting from motivations essentially linked to two interdependent dimensions: the first is represented by the current cultural and socio-relational reference framework in which all interactions take place, especially those functional to the processes of learning. Within this very complex, dynamic and interconnected framework, the second key dimension is the impact of the widespread and consolidated diffusion of the media, capable of generating new dynamics on several levels. The development perspective starts from the integration of the technological dimension to realize the aspects necessary to realize the pedagogical dimension. Indeed, the planning of the course does not intend to place the construction of the objective-skills in a linear perspective in which Media Education represents a phase, a competence or a specific objective to be achieved, but in an interconnected and transdisciplinary perspective in which it organizes various activities acting as an active tool and as a conscious attitude capable of stimulating and enhancing the creative, collaborative and reflective components.
