Abstract
The interdisciplinary nature of translation studies has been highlighted by many scholars, the question being not so much the need for collaborative work with specialists coming from other areas, but the necessity to legitimise recourse to a variety of distinct research methods which where often borrowed form other disciplines and adapted to translation.
