Abstract
This article traces three significant stages of the path followed by Pierre Léon, an outstanding phonetician and specialist of the didactics of spoken French language. His theoretical research has both nourished and inspired his didactic applications and vice-versa. From articulatory phonetics to phonostylistics, he has inspired generations of researchers in phonetics and didactics of spoken French language.
