Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] In The Betrothed, an itinerary in search of justice is outlined that starts from revenge and leads to forgiveness, particularly in the characters of Ludovico/father Cristoforo and Renzo. Forgiveness is presented as the highest form of justice and as a means to restart personal and social history.
