Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] In the Milanese metropolis the risks linked to solitude and social isolation do not only affect the elderly population, but also significant portions of the adult and youth population with little social capital and difficult access to variously understood aid relationships. Proximity services - provided through various professional figures - thus represent an innovative and effective response to these problematic situations, documented by this contribution through the analysis of official statistics and data collected during the activity of service monitoring and evaluation " social custodians "in its start-up and implementation phases.
