Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] In the contribution, the path followed by the Northern Italy industrial tomato chain in its organizational innovation process that led to the birth of the inter-branch organization is illustrated. In particular, the economic reasons that have stimulated this path and the effects on the competitiveness of the supply chain are illustrated.
