Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Previous research has focused on the figure of the entrepreneur as a critical success factor for the genesis and business model of a start-up. The following study focuses instead on the role of relationships in the early stages of its life cycle. The paper presents a qualitative research based on 2 case studies of innovative Italian start-ups. The results show the emergence of a relational business model already in the early stages of the life cycle. The interconnected relationships allow the start-up to develop its core business and access different types of resources.
