Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Through the study of the unpublished archival documents of the Trivulzio Fund of the ASMi it was possible to find a vast overview of news related to the curtis of Vespolate. The parchments allow to trace a complex evolutionary history of the inhabited center, which from a castle owned by the Episcopal Curia, capable of organizing a land lordship, came under the control of the Visconti and then of the duchy of Milan, with Giangaleazzo, who invested with ceremony feudal Antonio Porro, to whom powers of justice were attributed separate from those of the mayor of the Municipality of Novara.
