Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The continuity between Peirce and Benveniste is retraced on some central concepts concerning the relationship between language and reality: Benveniste calls them 'deictic' but they are notions taken up by Peirce through the mediation of Charles Morris, whose works inspired by Peirce Benveniste had read and quoted in his essays. This notion will give rise to the Benvenist theory of enunciation.
