Abstract
Gian Giacomo Valeri (1572-1651) wrote a description of Milan in the first half of the 17th century with her principal monuments, palaces and collections. Pietro Mazzucchelli (1572-1651) found this unknown and very important source and he realized a copy, now in Biblioteca Ambrosiana.
