Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The contribution is dedicated to a painting representing the Adoration of the shepherds preserved in the church of Sant'Alessandro martire in Grassobbio (Bergamo). An apocryphal inscription, accompanied by the date 1592, led the critics to recognize a work by Domenico Monio from Ferrara. In fact, some comparisons allow the attribution to the canvas of another artist from Ferrara, Gaspare Venturini, to be proposed.
