Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The volume collects essays that gradually shed light on the political, literary, musical, artistic and book culture in Milan in the 17th century, with particular attention to the role of Federico Borromeo, as patron and prince of the Church, and of the Biblioteca Ambrosiana as a place of intellectual development.
