Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The contribution analyzes and reconstructs some of the events and the debate that involved Italian art criticism between the sixties and seventies, focusing on the conference Theories and practices of art criticism, organized by Pier Luigi Tazzi and Egidio Mucci between 1977 and 1978, then symptomatically named "0 criticism", to be read as the number zero, alluding to a zeroing of criticism or a new start; or as a disjunctive vowel. The restitution of the conference, of the interventions is placed in dialogue with the animating critical events of the previous decade, underlining the increasingly evident contrast between artists and critics and the methodological change to which the critics were called.
