[Autom. eng. transl.] Crystals of dreams and reality. The culture of Final Fantasy offers, from its title, a series of eight essays that deepen some aspects of the culture behind and around Final Fantasy with a humanistic approach. The saga is observed from time to time with different lenses, linked to the personal experience and studies of the authors involved, whose profiles range from the academic to the youtuber. It is not, therefore, an overall overview of the series, but of specific lunges on subjects that are little treated and curious. The themes of these eight "crystals" range from prophetism to freedom of choice, from oplology to the history of Japan, from the sense of death to narratology, from fanfiction to branded content. With contributions from Lara “Phenrir Mailoki” Arlotta, Carlo Alessandro Bonifacio, Gabriele Campagnano, Livio Gambarini, Luca “GamerDex83” Mandara, Lorena Rao, Marco Seregni and Francesca Sirtori.
