Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The report highlights the circumstances of the relationship between Ettore Cozzani and Gabriele d'Annunzio as shown in the correspondence kept at the Vittoriale in Gardone Riviera: thus, also on the basis of previously unpublished documents, the complex operation of the return to Italy of d'Annunzio on the occasion of the inauguration of the monument of the Thousand in Quarto in May 1915. In Cozzani's vision, D'Annunzio's work matters more for its nationalistic flare-ups than for the sure results of opera production.
