Abstract
The present study investigated the association between couple identity and coparenting, taking into account the interdependence within partners applying the Actor-Partner Interdependence Model. Participants were 96 couples with at least one school-aged child who filled in a self-report questionnaire. Findings showed significant associations between couple identity and coparenting both at the intrapersonal and interpersonal level. These results suggest that a strong couple identity can be a resource to cope as a team with the challenges of childrearing.
