Having known an extraordinary growth of the immigrant population, the Italian society is called to start a reflection not only on the rules of law and on the procedures necessary to govern a multi-ethnic society, but also and above all on the cultural and value orientations that can favor the enhancement of the immigration for the construction of an economically competitive and socially cohesive society.
