Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] After an analysis aimed at defining the change in the pedagogical landscape compared with the major themes currently proposed by the studies on the brain and by the new visions of the human mind, the essay comes to ask important questions that contain its meaning in a simple but important question: does education enlightened by neuroscience help us be more human? It will be this question that will direct the reflection on self-awareness and on education to altruism, developed in the essay through three fundamental points: the ability to "say myself" before reality, or to assume responsibility for one's own actions; the relationship between emotions and rationality as a vehicle for mature education; empathy as a multidimensional concept between neuroscience and pedagogy.
