Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] This work is intended as support material for the lessons of linguistic and cultural mediation of the Hindi language for use by the Italian student.
In fact, it provides a detailed examination of the fundamental semantic areas of the contemporary Hindi language as well as an analysis of the contrastive translation from Hindi into Italian and vice versa. The volume contains proposals for plausible dialogues in the various areas of daily life typical of the culture of reference, i.e. Indian culture, correlated by brief proposals for linguistic and cultural mediation.
Each text is accompanied by practical exercises and guidelines for reconstructing conversations adapted to a student's potential experiences in India.
The use of this volume is recommended to all students of Hindi (with the exception of those in the first year of the course) who have not yet reached the level suitable for understanding the proposed texts.
In the appendix there are some linguistic tables in Hindi for the study of words and expressions that make use of rather complex grammatical structures.
