Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Body Food Affects is a multidisciplinary text that addresses the issue of eating disorders. It is the pivotal point of the different diagnostic and care proposals in dialogue between them the institutional experience that at the Agostino Gemelli Hospital in Rome, psychoanalysts, endocrinologists, nutritionists, community workers, have been leading for some time, having made the fundamental choice to confront and integrate the different therapeutic perspectives and explanatory hypotheses. The topic of nourishment has been through life since pregnancy. Epigenetics, neurobiology, mother-child relationality, eating styles, family cultures, transgenerationality, psychopathological attitudes, mental growth, having overcome the age-old dichotomy mind body, suggest and trace new interpretative and therapeutic avenues.
