Coordenação de unidades residenciais para crianças em situação de acolhimento residencial em Itália: o caso da cooperativa social «La Grande Casa» nos eixos de um percurso de pesquisa-formação

[Autom. eng. transl.] The system of child protection in Italy has developed, as an alternative response to institutionalization, legislation and experiences centered on the well being of the child and residential solutions with a child-friendly family climate, when judicial bodies consider removal from the environment to be necessary natural life. The «educational communities for children and adolescents» (residential reception facilities), complex and delicate relational systems, based on the capacity for personalized welcome, centered on the child, framed in principles of daily family functioning, are the context of this contribution. The realization of these principles implies, in addition to the presence of competent and involved educators, a coordination capable of managing the complexity of the different dimensions interconnected inside and outside the residential units. This work is based on the results of a research-training course that involved, starting in 2003, the coordinators of the residential structures of a non-governmental organization, the social cooperative La Grande Casa in Sesto San Giovanni (Milan). This path has allowed us to develop a multidimensional model of the pedagogical coordination of residential reception units, which allows us to understand the various facets of coordination.
