[Autom. eng. transl.] The text deals with the issues concerning the enhancement of the existential phase of the patient at the end of his life. It is stated that the response to the need to safeguard the dignity of the latter is not achieved through a bureaucratization of the health relationship that makes the physician a mere executor of formal declarations of will, made by the patient or who represents him. Without the need for consent for the activation of therapeutic practices, problems concerning the interruption of therapies are addressed, in the light of the promotion of dialogue on the progress of the therapeutic procedure between doctor and patient, as well as the need for avoid direct or indirect pressure on the patient and his family context towards choices conditioned by the economic cost of the commitment in favor of the weakest subjects. We analyze concepts debated in the bio-juridical field, such as the proportionality of therapies, self-determination, and reliance.
