Abstract
In "Contemporary Ethiopia. State composition and human environment" Mattia Fumagalli reconstructs the political reality of contemporary Ethiopia, retracing the historical phases that led to the creation of the African state, with a particular focus on the human environment. Through an in-depth examination of some of the most significant figures who have written the internal and foreign policy of Ethiopia - such as Menelik II, Haile Selassie, Meles Zenawi, Abiy Ahmed -, Fumagalli presents to the reader a country that is today more and more the object of international attention for its political and economic developments.
