[Autom. eng. transl.] The Internet is now part of the day of millions of people in Italy and the forms of the network offer are increasingly being consolidated. What are the interconnections between the use of the internet and the routine of everyday life? What are the relationships between the forms of social appropriation of the network and the cultural images of the Internet, between the concrete navigation practices and the biography (also technological) of the subjects that are its protagonists? And, in terms of the communication offer of websites: is there a mainstream in the offer of the network? What are the methods for constructing the navigation paths planned for the user? And how does advertising communication, in its historical banner form, contribute to structuring the textuality of the network? In answering these and other questions, this volume focuses on the ways in which social actors include the web in their own world of life, explores how users navigate and investigates web communication styles. By entering into a growing body of national and international internet studies, it helps to clarify how the network becomes part of the daily life of the subjects and how users, alongside the role played by production, participate in the processes of social modeling of technology.
