Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay states that it is not possible to have a paideia of virtues unless an inescapable objection is first dispelled. It is often addressed to ethics: that according to moral life is the quintessence of frustration and renunciation, the set of constraints, of obligations, of the limitations imposed on the subject, an apparatus of binding norms that stifle spontaneity and oppress freedom. Moral practice ultimately produces a frustrating existence marked by unhappiness and involves a contempt for life. Therefore, in this regard, the essay reflects on the connection between love and happiness and on that between love and virtue: from them springs the connection between happiness (or at least contentment) and authentic virtues. Finally, he wonders about perfect happiness.
