Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The writing finds justification in the fact that the social market economy is considered by various authors - and especially by scholars outside the economic sciences - a doctrine formulated also by authors whose ideas of an economic nature cannot be traced back to a common matrix but do not even possess the fundamental characteristics commonly acknowledged to the "social market economy". Hence the need for an essentially cultural order to investigate the origins and characteristics of the doctrine itself, of which the repercussions on the level of economic and social policies placed at the base of the rebirth and subsequent development of democratic Germany are known. A deepening centered mainly on the re-reading of the writings of some authoritative and recognized exponents of the group.
