Consagra e Carandente tra Spoleto '62 e Venezia '72

[Autom. eng. transl.] For the conference dedicated to the figure of the art critic and historian Giovanni Carandente, the contribution investigates the relationship between Carandente and Pietro Consagra, to highlight the reasons for a meeting that sees Consagra's participation in the historic exhibition Sculptures in the city, promoted by Giovanni Carandente in the Umbrian city in 1962, a moment of particular importance, with which the creation of the group of sculptures "Trama" is compared, presented by Consagra at the opening of the exhibition Italian post-war sculpture, curated by Carandente himself within the Venice Biennale of 1972. The focus of the considerations is the relationship between sculpture and the city, as understood by Consagra, in relation to Carandente's critical penseiro.
