Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Even the Italian literature - as for a long time the foreign one - begins to be quite rich in case studies related to local environmental conflicts and their possible solutions. Despite the doubts and perplexities that some still express about the actual usefulness of the involvement, in the decision-making process, of the stakeholders involved, however there are examples of how this can prove to be, not only useful, but even necessary for the introduction of new practices. This is the case, for example, of what happened a few years ago in the lowlands of Reggio, where local authorities wanted to introduce the practice of phyto-purification along some channels of local farmland, but this would not have been possible if farmers - owners of the fields adjacent to the canals - they had not accepted the experimentation of the same. This contribution is dedicated to illustrating the main results obtained through the consultation activity carried out within the RIMEDIA Project. From its reading it clearly emerges all the relevance of such activity that, whether it has made possible a certain change of attitude of the interviewees with respect to the practice of phytodepuration proposed by the local authorities, has both allowed the latter to gather important guidance indications with respect to the programming in progress . The first and second paragraphs then describe the context of reference, ie the project in which the involvement process was implemented, while the third and fourth paragraphs in detail detail the indications obtained, respectively, from farmers and their trade associations. Finally, in the fifth paragraph, some concluding remarks are presented.
