Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The article presents and explores the contents of the conference held by Prof. Qu Jingdong 渠敬东 on the topic "Sociology as the study of civilisations". What are the approaches that Chinese sociology should adopt, according to Prof. Qu, to reconnect to the tradition of the great classics of Western and Chinese sociology and to bring its attention back to the constituent elements of Chinese civilization, also in relation to the process of modernization undertaken by the country.
