Abstract
The essay explains the thought of Giovanni Battista Montini - Pope Paul VI on the work of the monks in the process of evangelization. The contribution is based on the speeches of the official magisterium, on the rich correspondence of archive, preserved at the Paul VI Institute in Concesio, and on many other Italian and European monastic archives.
