Abstract
The growth of a Muslim population residing permanently in Italy has given rise to a series of cultural and political problems that have already emerged in other European countries (e.g. spiritual assistance, burial, etc.). Islam,
by raising new questions of citizenship, it leads to questioning certainties and to rethinking the balances that seemed to be consolidated.
From this perspective, the pandemic crisis has undoubtedly had a strong impact as well on believers and religious communities of every cult.
