Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] This special issue is dedicated to the skills, actors and roles needed for the future of healthcare, with the aim of stimulating a multi-perspective and multidisciplinary reflection on a crucial topic for the management of the healthcare system. The COVID-19 pandemic has clearly shown how fundamental it is to have a robust healthcare system, well-organized logistically and structurally, but above all attentive to the people who work there. The various contributions concern the different aspects of change, organizational, process and role, analyzing how uncertainty and new responsibilities have contributed to transforming the healthcare system. The contributions focus on the experiences of professionals during the pandemic, on the importance of professional relationships and networks to facilitate organizational changes, and on the role of professional skills. Particular attention is given to managerial skills and training, essential tools for the future of healthcare, and on the importance of new professional figures, such as the family nurse, to strengthen territorial assistance.
