Abstract
Traditional methods of nitrate determination require costly equipment, a cold chain for sample preservation and a great deal of time for the analysis. The aim of this study was to
evaluate the reliability of simplified methods for determining nitrate contents in soils and plants, accelerating the collection of data necessary for optimising nitrogen fertilisation within environmental protection monitoring programs.
