Statements such as "Today the young have no more values" or "Immigrants do not have our own values", implying with them the irreconcilability of the two cultures, they have entered so much in the ways of saying of our everyday life that we often they take for granted. And like all discounted statements, they require caution. But what is meant by this term? We can describe the values with a metaphor: the tracks on which a train passes. Like the tracks in fact they are references that guide the direction towards which every human being must strive.
