Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

In this paper we examine the introduction of CLIL methodology into the school system in South Tyrol in Italy, considering the action strategies provided to promote the vehicular use of Italian as a second language in German-speaking schools. We also present the results of a survey conducted in the 2013-2014 school year in the context of a CLIL teacher training programme held in Bolzano, in order to identify the expectations and attitudes of teachers regarding CLIL in Italian as a second language. This work allowed us to outline points of reflection and action research topics, to encourage the spread of forms of curriculum planning and best practices for CLIL using Italian L2 in German-speaking schools.
