Trump as president of the United States, the chapter analyzes the policies that the new Republican administration has tried to set up to build, starting from Asia-Pacific, a new one architecture of global governance such as to allow Washington to manage the profound transformations taking place in the international system. A path that is read in substantial continuity with respect to the positions of the previous US diplomatic lines must be inserted in the framework of the debate - developed since 1991 - relating to the so-called Rise of China and the growing political and economic dynamism of Asian players on the international scene.
