Abstract
After discussing some relevant shortcomings of extant causal mapping literature, this paper draws on social network analysis to advance new ways to conceptualize and to measure both cognitive centrality and complexity in causal maps. The resulting measures are employed to analyze the organizational maps elicited during a recent empirical research.
